Ceramic pieces enriched with local materials

Each ceramic piece I create is crafted from stoneware clay, often enriched with natural elements from my surroundings. I personally gather wild clay around Arnhem, my home, using it to bring a unique texture to each piece. Drawn to natural materials, I incorporate them whenever possible, experimenting with glazes made from wood and plant ashes. I like the idea of integrating a small piece of our environment—and by extension a bit of the Netherlands—into my work. This journey of working with clay and natural materials is one of continual discovery, with each piece reflecting a new chapter of that exploration
